Wizard of Oz

The correct translation of The Wizard of Oz is as above.
This is a strange story.
It looks like a fairy tale, but there is a strange sadness to it.
First, Dorothy is an orphan, living with an aunt and uncle.
At the end of the film, Dorothy says: There is no place like home.
I believe this is the theme of the story.
Unlike ordinary adventure stories, the end of the story vigorously praises the warmth of home - and this is not her real home.
The theme song over the rainbow also has a mournful feel.
The author of the novel - Lyman Frank Baum, you can check it if you are interested.

I like it! Just finding the greatest strength on the edge of innocence, Judy is really endearing. And this is probably the only time I've had this kind of viewing experience that traces the origins of many pieces of pop culture that I got and influenced when I was growing up, from somewhere over the rainbow, to the London V&A in 2012 (if I remember correctly) When it came to Judy's costume, from the various stills I saw all day and related tribute films like Judy, to The Wicked I saw in New York (the first broadway show I watched)... In short, in In the end, everyone was a little tearful when they said goodbye. Everyone can only walk with me for a while. Goodbye, but I don't want to go home.

Children's stage play, but the part of the wizard of oz that gives the brain courage and the heart is incredibly ironic and deserves an extra star

The Wizard of Oz quotes

  • The Scarecrow: I've got a plan to get in there.

The Cowardly Lion: Great, he's got a plan.

The Scarecrow: And you're going to lead us.

    The Cowardly Lion: Yeah!... me?

    The Scarecrow: Yes, you.

The Cowardly Lion: I... I... I gotta get her out of *there*?

    The Tin Man: That's right.

The Cowardly Lion: [determined] All right. I'll go in there for Dorothy. Wicked Witch or no Wicked Witch, guards or no guards, I'll tear them apart. I may not come out alive, but I'm going in there. There's only one thing I want you fellas to do.

The ScarecrowThe Tin Man: What's that?

The Cowardly Lion: Talk me out of it.

  • The Cowardly Lion: Courage! What makes a king out of a slave? Courage! What makes the flag on the mast to wave? Courage! What makes the elephant charge his tusk in the misty mist, or the dusky dusk? What makes the muskrat guard his musk? Courage! What makes the sphinx the seventh wonder? Courage! What makes the dawn come up like thunder? Courage! What makes the Hottentot so hot? What puts the "ape" in apricot? What have they got that I ain't got?

    DorothyThe ScarecrowThe Tin Man: Courage!

The Cowardly Lion: You can say that again!... Huh?
