rock

A group of retired U.S. Marines want to ask the government for some settlement money. Rejected, revolted in anger. But the government was too ruthless, they were too careless, and they were soft-hearted. Just like the name of the film - "Rock" (THE ROCK). You want money, don't you? Get out if you want.
It's a pity, a pity.
I can finally understand how difficult it is for migrant workers to ask for wages. Look, the brothers in the Marine Corps are useless with poison gas missiles, reconnaissance satellites, all kinds of heavy equipment, and 81 hostages. Your order of kitchen knife and bricks is too much like a fairy tale.
Also remember: Going against the government is really useless. You make trouble, you make trouble, I will let you make trouble again, and I will send a fighter jet to bombard you.
Out of respect for the general and fellow Marines who died with hatred, this movie is given four stars.

I watched this movie countless times, countless times. Although the plot is very unreasonable now, the initial arsenal setting is also very unreasonable, and it inherits Michael Bay's usual explosive + shaking characteristics, but it still felt very exciting at that time, and it doesn't hurt to watch it a few more times. Also remember to watch the director’s commentary. Regarding SEAL sneaking into the bathroom and being wiped out, the director said that real SEAL can win, and those who play SEAL are real SEAL.

I didn't even stop for a moment in the middle of seeing it-the tea was cold.

The Rock quotes

  • Stanley Goodspeed: Okay, I've got some bad news, and some really bad news. The bad news is, is that the gas is corrosive and its eating our suits...

Isherwood: It's all over my hand, man!

  • Stanley Goodspeed: [while in a cell on Alcatraz] You broke out, let me see if I can get this straight, down the incinerator chute, on the mine car, through the tunnels to the power plant, under the steam engine - that was really cool by the way - and into the cistern through the intake pipe. But how, in the name of Zeus' BUTTHOLE!... did you get out of your cell? I only ask because in our current situation, well, it could prove to be useful information. *Maybe*!

[Mason does not answer, but opens up his prison door with an improvised tool]

Stanley Goodspeed: [Goodspeed hears noise from Mason's door opening] Mason?

[to Goodspeed's surprise, his own door suddenly opens]

John Mason: Trade secrets, my son.
