It's for the word sniping.

Another personal heroism movie, the plot is very simple, a retired top sniper of the US Army Special Forces became the scapegoat for the murder of the president in the villain's elaborate conspiracy, but the awesome protagonist escaped from the villain's gun. After coming out, he took care of his wounds at the girlfriend of his former comrade-in-arms, and finally found out the murderers behind the scenes. I hoped that they could be brought to justice, but there was no evidence. The female ticket has gone far away; the whole plot develops in the direction that the audience can imagine, the protagonist is almost omnipotent, proficient in firearms, medical treatment, blasting, investigation, psychological warfare, and the villain in it is almost for the protagonist. It's scumbags, all the way through the customs; the attraction of this movie lies in the theme of sniping and the dazzling firearms. Anyway, as a novice, I am quite fascinated by it. Secondly, it is worth mentioning that it is in the clichéd plot. The rhythm of the movie is very tight, and there is no urine point in the whole process. If it is regarded as an entertainment movie, it is not bad.

Shooter quotes

  • Bob Lee Swagger: The Archbishop?

Michael Sandor: You want to take all suspicions away when you shoot someone, wait 'til he's standing next to the President.

Bob Lee Swagger: What was he going to say?

Michael Sandor: The truth. That nothing, no matter how horrible, ever really happens without the approval of the government. Over there, and here. The problem isn't the doing. It's the people in power having to admit that they knew. The prisoners are tortured at Abu Ghraib, and only the underlings go to jail. Their bosses knew. We know their bosses knew. But you don't say it.

Bob Lee Swagger: What exactly happened in Africa?

Michael Sandor: Somehow the villagers didn't think that an oil pipeline was a good enough reason to move their village to a place where the spirit gods didn't exist.

Bob Lee Swagger: They asked them all nicely to move, and they didn't, so they just killed them all?

Michael Sandor: No, they didn't ask. They just killed them. All. So the next village won't need to be asked, they'll just go.

  • [after Swaggert has proven his innocence, yet Col Johnson has escaped charges for his crimes]

Attorney General Russert: For the record, I don't like the way this turned out any more than you do, but this is the world we live in and justice does not always prevail. It's not the Wild West where you can clean up the streets with a gun... even though sometimes that's exactly what's needed. Bob Lee Swaggert, you're free to go.

    [to guards]

Attorney General Russert: Unshackle the sergeant.
