A young woman, Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), had a quarrel with her boyfriend not long ago. She was driving on a dark highway at night when she suddenly suffered a serious car accident and passed out. When she woke up again, she found herself tied with her hands and feet and locked in an airtight space. After a while, a strong and stern man Howard (John Goodman John Goodman) came in. Howard, who was a soldier, claimed that the earth had just suffered a terrible biochemical crisis, and the earth's people were almost wiped out. He planned to build this well-equipped and well-resourced shelter a few years ago, just to survive. In the shelter, in addition to Howard and Michelle, there was another young man, Emmett. Michelle is skeptical of Howard's claims, believing that she has been detained by a pervert.
