Bird Box is viewed as a thriller film, which is characteristic by mysterious forces, unknown spirit or horrible elements. But I give a thumbs up to this movie because of the three moments getting me moved.
The first one comes from the point when Malorie almost crashed and cried after her boyfriend Tom died from protecting them. If I was her, I could never be braver than her under the desperate circumstance. Although she was desperate, helpless, and even hopeless, she wouldn't like her children to feel frustrated about that, suppressing her voice and tears. What a great mother!
The second one that gets me moved is the moment when Malorie has to decide the one who opens his eyes and guilds the direction. It's definitely a hard decision although the girl is not her child. When the girl with tears in her eyes said she looked in a low voice, I feel heartbroken. Fortunately, Malorie, as a mother, cannot do such a merciless thing.
This movie deserves the five star. By the way, don't do bird-box challenge proposed in Twitter, which is the super silly act!
