This is a very unlucky ship, carrying a group of unlucky crew.

After reading some film reviews, it seems that many people think that this film is a film that shows Soviet officers and soldiers fighting for the country and promoting patriotism regardless of their personal sacrifices... This is actually quite wrong. In my opinion, this movie is essentially a manifestation of the spirit of unity that human beings are forced to face when facing difficulties. I remember Dunnitz said, why is there a saying in all languages in the world that we can help each other in the same boat or similar terms, but there is no such thing as "to help each other in the same boat" to describe life on land? This is because in the vast ocean of moody, only mutual aid can survive. What is the concept of helping each other in the same boat? It does not mean that everyone has to block the guns for his comrades, but that everyone has to perform their own duties and have a high sense of responsibility. The job of the captain is to give orders and command the overall situation. The duty of the deputy chief is to be a bridge connecting the captain and the crew, supervising the execution of orders or feedbacking the crew’s dissatisfaction. The chief mariner's duty is to lead the navigation, the electromechanical chief's task is to be responsible for technical maintenance and so on. A qualified soldier should perform his duties and obligations.

From this film, although the crew on the ship has various personality defects, and despite the deterioration of the relationship between the crew and the captain, most of them put their responsibilities in the first place, from being scattered to forming a good team. Although a serious accident occurred in K-19, we can find from the film that each crew member has made the best effort for his companions within the scope of his duties. They did not fight with national slogans, but out of the spirit of mutual assistance. The K-19 accident was a failure, but this failure was mainly caused by the Soviet government. Afterwards, K-19 officers and soldiers had to act as scapegoats. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the surviving officers and soldiers of K-19 gathered again to mourn the dead companions and point out the director's true intentions. This film is indeed a carol, but it is not for the Soviet government (it is obvious, because this is an American film), nor is it a tribute to how loyal Soviet officers and soldiers are to the country. This film extols the 128 of K-19. The members are in the spirit of helping each other amidst the ensuing dangers.

The story of this film is very different from the K-19 accident in history. The director has also stated that it is only adapted from real history, so this movie should not be viewed from the perspective of historical films. The director told us a wonderful story based on historical facts, and it is also an educational story.

The details of the first half of the training are a bit interesting, and half of the courage is commendable. However, the human design was limited by the real prototype, and it was a bit tied up. The thoughts of the two captains changed too quickly. In terms of acting, neither of the two male protagonists has much room to play.
