Surreal But Nice

An unpleasant encouter started a surreal but nice story about “Cinderella”, who changes into a man in this film called “Notting Hill”.
Anna is a superstar , while William just is a divorced and frustrated boss of a small bookstore. Well, shouldn't 't he look up at her with humility ? Shouldn't she regard him as one of her thousands of fans calmly ? However, neither of them does, they fall in love with each other.
As Shakespare says, the course of true love never did run smooth. William, who had experienced an unsuccessful marriage, was afraid of being cast aside once again." I'm a fairly level-headed blocke, not often in and out of love ", he said, "I live in Notting Hill . You live in Beverly Hills." It's true that there is a wide desparity between their social status and their love seems unrealistic, but at the moment that Anna stood in front of William and said "I want to be with you.""The fame thing isn't really real, you know? Don't forget I am also just a girl standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.",we shouted at William from the bottom of our hearts, "Don't turn down such a good girl!"
Of course, such a romatic comedy always has a happy ending. On that sunny day, Anna, sitting beside William , said “Some people do spend their whole life together.” Maybe it's just a dream. Well, let's not think about what will happen next in the dream for the moment, this is a surreal but nice story at least.
Huge Grant, who played William in this film, looks like a clumsy English gentleman. Though he is very common and sometimes cowardly in this film, we still fell in love with him just as Anna did. Julia Roberts, whose course of love is full of twists and turns in real life just because of her status as a movie star, may be playing herself .What she really wants is an ordinary love, while it is hard to get.”Everybody on the movie was tremendous,”she said, "The great thing about a really good script and really clever director is that you find yourself in a situation where even the tiniest part has been cast so precisely with such a talented persom, that even the littlest moment in the movie becomes an interesting moment that you'll remember."
Music of the film is melodious, which enhances the appeal of the film. "She" is one of my favorate."…She may be the face I can't forget, the trace of pleasure or regret. She may be the beauty or the beast, may be the famine or the feast, may turn each day into a heaven or a hell, she may be the mirror of my dream,a smile reflected in the scream…For where she goes I've got to be ,the The meaning of my life is she.”
All excuses and obstructions are useless in front of love as long as we want to be with each other. Maybe someone thinks that it's a beautiful but unrealistic story, however, we must believe that nothing is impossible and there are still some things worthy of our expectations in the world.

God made us meet and happened to make us fall in love. What happened so naturally has nothing to do with other things, but love has arrived.

Notting Hill quotes

  • [who will get the last brownie?]

Anna Scott: Wait, what about me?

Max: Sorry, you think *you* deserve the brownie?

Anna Scott: Well a shot at it at least huh?

William: Well, you'll have to fight me for it, this is a very good brownie.

Anna Scott: I've been on a diet every day since I was nineteen, which basically means I've been hungry for a decade. I've had a series of not nice boyfriends, one of whom hit me. Ah, and every time I get my heart broken, the newspapers splash it about as though it's entertainment. And it's taken two rather painful operations to get me looking like this.

    Honey: Really?

Anna Scott: Really. And, one day not long from now, my looks will go, they will discover I can't act and I will become some sad middle-aged woman who looks a bit like someone who was famous for a while.

Max: [long pause] Nah, nice try gorgeous, but you don't fool anyone.

William: Pathetic effort to hog the brownie.

  • Bernie: But she said she wanted to go out with you?

    William: Yes - sort of...

    Bernie: That's nice.

    William: What?

Bernie: Well, you know, anybody saying they want to go out with you is... pretty great... isn't it...?

William: It was sort of sweet actually - I mean, I know she's an actress and all that, so she can deliver a line - but she said that she might be as famous as can be - but also... that she was just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.

    [pause]

William: Oh, sod a dog. I've made the wrong decision, haven't I?
