no flashy classic

THE ENTERTAINER 1902, as the opening song, unfolds a delicate and humorous classic. The refined plot, the simple but in-place shots, and the suspenseful stories are heart-wrenching.
There are no gimmicks such as beauty, violence, love, etc., it is a completely focused movie, and it is worthy of being a classic.
Especially with the music. In plots like dodging the killer, it's not as deliberately creating a tense musical atmosphere as many movies today. The film is less suitable for soundtracks in this type of plot. Empty the sound, instead, it creates the tranquility of the midnight street, and the sense of realism and tension suddenly rises.

If the plot is viewed from the current perspective, it can only be regarded as the middle of the genre. But the elegant style, accompanied by the methodical narration of the piano, mixed with some humor and banter, and finally a film that tells a good story without any pretensions, is a unique flavor of that era. Paul Newman is so handsome.
