Don't think too much, you will be disappointed

Don't get too fancy, or you'll be disappointed.
Liam Neeson barely held up the film, but in the face of such a story with no depth to talk about, there was nothing anyone could do.
It's relatively easy to say something deep in this kind of subject matter, even if it's the depth of the clichés, but Carnahan is so obsessed with making a story in a perfect form, leaving only the plot, it's hard to imagine "Pride and Glory" was originally his creation.
You see the plane crash, a few survivors, forced by the wolves, start to flee, and die one by one on the way, only Otway (Liam Neeson) is left, and the ending is unknown. Although there are occasional exchanges between the few people in the middle, they are all simply explaining everyone's concerns before death, and it is difficult to get rid of the suspicion of bragging.
After the plane crash, you can hardly see the dazedness, fear, despair and depression that the survivors should have. You only see a few strong men bickering, laughing and cursing at the crash site where there are corpses everywhere. In trying to get away from the wolves, you can hardly see the fear or pain that comes from the increasing number of people who are dying. All you see is the endless quarrels and machines as people die and the rest continue to flee.
I really don't know what else can be left in such a plot besides the fake experience of blood and survival. The open ending at the end of the film, in my opinion, is entirely because the screenwriter does not know how to end it, and simply smashes this problem into the audience's face. But sorry! I have no idea!

The Grey quotes

  • [first lines]

Ottway: A job at the end of the world. A salaried killer for a big petroleum company. I don't know why I did half the things I've done, but I know this is where I belong, surrounded by my own. Ex-cons, fugitives, drifters, assholes. Men unfit for mankind.

  • Ottway: [trying to calm him] It's good. It's good that it hurts.

    Flannery: It's good?

    Ottway: It's good, yeah.

Flannery: Oh well then I'm fuckin' fabulous.
