U-571!

I rarely watch war movies because I am afraid of seeing bloody scenes. Although this movie is not bloody, the rare sea war scenes, especially the thrilling scene of S-33 being hit by an enemy submarine, shocked me.

All the sergeants of the 33rd ship watched from a safe point of view as a small group risked their lives to pretend to be the Germans and go to the other submarine to perform tasks, but only for a moment, life and death were reversed and the mothership was hit. Everyone has not yet responded. When I came over, I watched such a ship sinking to the bottom of the sea in the raging flames. All the sergeants on the ship were killed. The relatively lucky ones who survived were those who had been prepared to die and had not had time to retreat to the squadron on the ship. . Regardless of the fate of those who survived by chance, the transition between blessings and misfortunes alone is embarrassing!

Another thing that I think the film is more realistic is that the soldiers show tension and wince in the face of danger, including Taylor's initial nervousness and helplessness, such as the scene of crazy shooting when they boarded the 571 submarine. I personally feel that this is the normal behavior of everyone during the war. Maybe our country has been propagating collectivism for a long time, and most of the performances in orthodox movies are fearless, brave and fearless, fighting the enemy to the death, and so on. But even if you are brave and fearless, no one will not have a little fear of death, as long as you are still human!

But our country is best at turning people into gods. Even if you shrink a little bit, you are not fit, and you have committed a crime!

In addition to the submarine battle, the biggest significance is to demonstrate how to make red movies with climaxes. I was puzzled. The U571 was half-crippled by a deep-sea artillery bomb by the Allies, and the Germans themselves were fine with so many deep-water artillery bombs? After the S-33 was destroyed, the protagonist's halo triumphed all the way. Is there any such thing?

Jonathan Mostow really likes the story of the ocean and the soldiers. What can the submarine take? Such a dense space, with the main functions of sneak attack and lurking, in the era of lack of 3D realistic technology... But this movie with many protagonists aura is fascinating, and even the literary and drama surpasses the fight. Those scenes of snorkeling and diving, repairing turbines to stop water leakage, and those scenes of listening to sonar and hiding depth water bombs, all happened in extremely dense and limited scenes, but they were really frightening. It would be better if the professional details were more realistic.
