The film was released simultaneously in the United States and China on March 16, 2018   . The film is based on the 2013 game " New Tomb Raider ". It tells the story of the young Lara Croft's discovery of the missing father's legacy. She learned that there are forces that endanger the world hidden in the tomb of the foreign ruins, so she embarked on an adventure. The story of the brigade saving the world.
