"The Lego Movie" ( The Lego Movie ) is a 2014 American 3D animation film. The characters in the film come from LEGO toys, directed and written by Chris Miller and Phil Lord , and dubbed by Chris Pratt , Morgan Freeman , Elizabeth Banks , Liam Neeson and Will Ferrell . The film was released in the United States on February 7, 2014.  The film tells the story of an ordinary LEGO villain, Emmet, who was mistakenly regarded as a "master of architect" and joined a resistance organization, working with a wizard to prevent the insidious plan of the LEGO world business president to solidify the world with super glue   .
