    The animation "Violet Evergarden" is adapted from the light novel of the same name by the Japanese novelist Akatsuki Kana . On May 27, 2016, on the official website of Kyoto Animation Co., Ltd. , the decision to animate "Violet Evergarden" TV was announced. The TV anime premiered on January 10, 2018, with a total of 13 episodes. Among them, the 14th episode that was not broadcast on TV is included in the fourth volume of DVD&BD. There are also 2 animated films. China's exclusive broadcast platform bilibili produces the dubbing version. The dubbing studio for the medium-dubbing version is Guansheng Culture, and the dubbing director is Ji Guanlin. It is expected to be broadcast in July 2021.  The animated film " Violet Evergarden Gaiden - Forever and Automemo Doll- " was released in Japan on September 6, 2019   , and was officially released in mainland China on January 10, 2020   . The animated film "Theatrical Violet Evergarden " was originally scheduled to be released on April 24, 2020,   but was postponed to September 18 of the same year   .

The film tells the story of a steamed bun turned into a "Bao" that brings back family joy to an elderly Chinese mother who is suffering from an empty nest, and makes her understand the story of how her child will eventually grow up   . The film won the Best Animated Short Film at the 91st Academy Awards.
