    "King And The Clown" is a costume drama based on the stage play "Er", directed by Lee Jun-ik and starring Kam Wu-Song , LEE JOON GI , Jin-yeong Jeong , Kang Sung Yeon . Through the experience of the two artists in the palace, the film shows the court life under the rule of the tyrannical and moody King Yeonsan in the history of Joseon.  The film was released in South Korea on December 29, 2005, and the final audience reached 12,302,831, breaking the record for the number of moviegoers in Korean film history.   The film won seven awards including the Grand Prize at the 42nd BaekSang Art Awards and the Best Film at 제43회대종상영화제 .
