He appeared on stage in New York in the early 1920s and performed " The Merchant of Venice ". In 1907, he co-starred with the famous actress Esser Barrymore in " A Midsummer Night's Dream ". Entered the film industry in 1915, and made more than fifty western action films at the Chicago-based Isaiah Film Company.
