Director Todd Haynes seems to be the only director I've ever liked more of his post-mainstream work than his previous work, his growing directorial skills and never-failing aura in "Far From Heaven" and "I'm Not There." . The film is somewhat of a rock-and-roll version of Citizen Kane, only to be overwhelmed by the music, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers' diabolical performance is impressive.
