It's almost one of the best American dramas I've ever watched. The characters, plot, setting, etc. are all done in great detail, like a puzzle with an inner connection. And he has a real sense of advanced independence. Whether it is not catering to political correctness or truthfully filming helpless against reality, he is many years ahead of these American dramas. "Advanced characters have long been there, and the industry is going backwards."
