I don't think it's too much to call this two-hour-long film epic, even without the grandeur. I finally understand why Americans like this movie. It's down-to-earth, nostalgic, nostalgic for the gangster classics of the 1990s (but Chinese audiences who don't know these may not feel it), and more importantly, it is not about the authoritative oppression and system. resistance.
