From the title, it can be seen that the film is trying to aggregate various elements, but in other words, if the aggregation is good, it is called fusion, and if the aggregation is not very good, it becomes a hodgepodge.
And the bad result caused by this is that each part of the content is forced to be compressed into a certain period of time, so that the story of each part is not fully told, and all surface. For example, zombies (there are terms in the film forgot..), why they are produced, they only appear at night when they are not seen during the day, and why there are so few in number.
However, here are a few words to justify the film that has been criticized too harshly. Someone asked about the maze? It is true that there are fewer mazes in this film, unless you think that the choice of the left and right of the sewer is also a maze.. But I remember the title of the first film is "The Maze Runner", no matter how you look at it, the core words should be It's a runner, maze can only be regarded as a modifier. From this point of view, the second part is still a runner, but it's just a zombie runner... (I think the main reason is that the translation only highlights the maze)
The second problem is that the plot is mentally retarded. To be fair, I think at least under pressure (WCKD Chase + Zombie Chase), most of them can't do better than them, so it's not valid to use the results of thinking from God's perspective to think about the protagonist's intentions after watching the movie. Yes, but it looks more real (of course I don't deny that some of the plots are indeed a bit.. that routine). But at least the reversal of the heroine at the end is good. I did give a lot of hints before, but I always thought it was just the heroine's disapproval. I didn't expect to become a spy directly!
Finally, a wave of praise for Littlefinger, playing such a role is really amazing! Inversion, I am still looking forward to this year's 3~
