No one knows how many are missing.

The film recommended by a friend, the cooperation between "Hawkeye" Jeremy Renner and "Scarlet Witch" Elizabeth makes me even more looking forward to it. The background of the film takes place in the Indian reserved area of Wyoming, USA, which is similar to the rural areas in remote areas of our country. The perennial snow-covered climate and the particularity of the living population have led to frequent occurrence of drug abuse, alcohol abuse, rape and murder, and the overall isolation from the mainstream society.

This film mainly tells about a rape and murder case that happened here. The reason for the use of "hunting" is probably because the male protagonist Cory is an orc hunter (the uncle is full of stories when he appears). The rookie Jane sent by the FBI and Cory, who has lived here for a long time and are familiar with everything, seem to be the standard configuration. Jane is responsible for throwing questions, and Cory is responsible for answering. When the victim's family saw Cory collapsed and cried, the words he said showed that the same tragedy had happened to him.

The first time the police and the prisoners fought each other, they probably guessed the ending. At this point, the movie uses flashback footage to reveal the truth that happened here. The beauty of the girl attracts the beasts, and the lover's resistance cannot be stopped after all. At the last moment, her lover traded her life for her escape, but what else? "How to judge a person's desire to survive? In such bad weather?" The answer was given at the end of the movie. She ran 9.6 kilometers barefoot in the snow, mixed with hatred, regret and love for survival. . As soon as the truth came out, it was a fierce battle. All the police were killed in action. "Hawkeye" used a trick, and Jane survived. Cory catches the escaped prisoner and uses the same method to kill him.

At the end of the film, the two fathers sit side by side in the snow, just like the daughter in the photo, but the photo is laughing and the snow is crying. The murderer gets the punishment he deserves, but the victim's family will always be in pain. Maybe one day, this pain will become a habit, but it will never be forgotten. The film uses a lot of long-range scenery, depicting extremely beautiful scenery, but beauty often coexists with danger. A recurring line in the movie, "Far from your loving eyes, In a place where winter never comes." In this icy ghost place, desire and humanity grow wildly. We can't imagine that such a ferocious incident will still occur in a society ruled by law in peaceful times, but the exposure of social news subverts our cognition time and time again. "No one knows hou many are missing", no one knows how many people are missing, just like no one knows how many people are hidden murderers. Even more frightening is the encouragement of tradition and social ethos.

I wanted to write a positive ending, but I really can't write it now. May the world be as we imagined, full of love and hope.

Four stars. The heart is a lonely hunter, and the white snow country is the catalyst. One star for this loneliness.

When I bought a ticket to enter the venue, the old lady who checked the ticket said to me: "It's a good one". After watching the appearance, I walked to the exit and said "Indeed" to her. The very rough but real style, the despair of the wild land, permeates the story and characters, making it unbearable. Lived in Utah for two years, the real Indian reservation does.
