reverence for nature

The heroine is too strong, she has torn a piece of the flesh on her leg, and still insists on walking for so long.
When I take the subway these days, I see advertisements and step on what mountains under my feet. The brave are fearless.
I think it's basically the fearless of the ignorant.
The copywriting and planning of this advertisement must have never experienced life and death,
perhaps even the mountains and the sea.
If you really go far, those who climb high will be full of awe of nature.

Nature is our mother, and if you don't take good care and respect, you will be rewarded.
Tsunami, flash floods, earthquakes, and global warming are all threats to our lives.
Don't feel far away from us, until it really comes, it's too late.

Personally, I feel that disaster films look more emotional, probably because they have resonance with the mapping and reflection of reality. Overall, this film is not bad.

There are tears in the whole film, but the filming is too simple and superficial, lacks thematic connotation, and the director cannot see the huge trauma caused by the disaster. The whole film is supported by Ivan and Naomi + three cute babies.

The Impossible quotes

  • Maria Bennett: Lucas, look at this place. They're so busy in here. You get to go and do something. Go help people. You're good at it.

  • Henry Bennett: [to his young son] But you know, you know, the most scary bit for me?

Thomas Bennett: When the water hit?

Henry Bennett: No. After that, when I came up, I was on my own. That was the scariest part. And when I saw the two of you clinging to the tree, I didn't feel so scared anymore. I knew I wasn't on my own. You see?
