Losing humanity in pain

Δ More than a little spoiler!!

At the beginning of the film, four middle-aged girlfriends are depicted playing kayaking together, which also implies that these women are really daring (adventurous). After going ashore, Juno and Sarah's husband looked at each other and Sarah's husband was absent-minded while driving, which has explained some problems. But the coach told us not to mess with the passengers (chat) while driving. Car accidents always come unexpectedly. Sarah's husband and daughter died. Sarah had a nervous breakdown. Juno cried in the hospital after hearing the news.

However, Juno, who is Sarah's best friend, planned a cave expedition in order to regain the old friendship and encourage Sarah. He still found a passage that no one had been to (so he deliberately threw the guidebook in the car). Birds, the first person to fall. Unexpectedly, there are still a group of bloodthirsty aborigines (monsters in the cave) in the cave. Although they have been living in the cave for a long time, their eyesight has deteriorated, but their hearing and combat capabilities are still excellent. Although the alert Sarah noticed the strangeness as soon as she entered the cave and first discovered the aborigines drinking water, no one believed it. Until the group was attacked, Juno had a surge of adrenaline and thyroxine after killing the first aboriginal. Under high tension, he accidentally killed Beth who came from behind, and then left. But Beth pulled Juno's hang before he died. Pendant (evidence) and finally handed over to Sarah. At the same time, the other friends who were busy looking for the exit were also silent when they heard the heart-wrenching cry of the lonely Juno, although they took the lunch box behind them.

As for Sarah, she should be the focus of the film. From the pain and depression of losing her family at the beginning to the vigilance and bravery at the end, it can be regarded as a complete transformation in the cave. Sarah's face was full of pain and despair when she took the camera to film the aboriginal people sharing food, but she was powerless and silent. But this allowed Sarah to complete her first transformation, and she began to search for something useful on the body of her best friend. She later finds Beth dying, and after hearing the testimony of the witness (Beth) and seeing the evidence, Sarah and Juno's friendship boat sinks into a bottomless trench. At this time, Sarah ushered in the second transformation. She solved the pain of dying for Beth, shattering her body, but also shattering her own soul. Sarah starts to behave a bit like an aboriginal after completing two metamorphoses. Later, Sarah killed the aboriginal family who had lived happily together, and Sarah stood at the top of the cave food chain. Towards the end, Sarah and Juno fought the aborigines bloody, and when Sarah also began to bite the flesh of the aborigines, it made people tremble. Juno is still the Juno of the year, and Sarah is not the Sarah of the year. After a brief hiatus, Sarah chopped Juno's leg and abandoned her among a group of aborigines, perhaps to make Juno feel the pain of the abandoned Beth. Sarah finally stepped on the piles of bones and escaped from the cave, like a monster emerging from the ground. She got into the car and ran at high speed, and her body moved away from the cave at a fast speed, but what she didn't know was that her soul had long been lost in the cave. There is no escape. She pulled over to the side of the road and vomited the same disgusting liquid that the Aboriginal people vomited. When the last shot came out, Sarah was still in the cave, hallucinating as if she saw her dead daughter. It cannot be said that it is the return of Sarah's humanity, but it seems that the last bit of Sarah's humanity is about to disappear into the darkness with the distant lens.
