Never thought I'd go to a horror vampire movie just for a song, obviously I don't like the subject very much out of fear.
The name of the song is "Eversleeping".
To be precise, I was attracted by the story outline of "Four Hundred Years of Fright" in the song commentary, which is copied as follows: In AD 1462, the Turks conquered the hinterland of Europe, and Count Dracula was ordered to conquer the Turkish army. Unexpectedly, when he won, rumors spread that he had been defeated and killed. His wife, Elizabeth, was distraught and committed suicide by throwing herself into the river. Dracula, who returned from the class, only saw his wife's body. And the priest told Dracula that Elizabeth died by suicide. According to Christian teachings, her soul cannot ascend to heaven, but can only fall into hell. He angrily asked God why he had fought for the Lord all his life and ended up like this. He pierced Jesus on the cross with his sword, and the blood flowed, and Dracula turned to the devil with blood as his life and became a vampire. And the last sentence of the song, translated into Chinese, is "From now on, life is no longer vast and despair, until we sleep together in a quilt, in a cold tomb."
Frankly speaking, the 1992 film, no matter from the narrative rhythm to the shooting technique, I can't get it very well, although Coppola's shooting can really reflect his aesthetic and standard, and the heroine is so beautiful. The dark tones, the ghostly soundtrack, the slightly bloody footage, and the inexplicable plot development are not my preference, but the only thing that keeps me watching is the central emotion:
Fall into the world for love, give up faith for love.
In the past, when I read books, I didn't feel how painful the separation of Yin and Yang was, but at most regret. I even admired the Titanic Rose who lived hard and lived a full life with Jack's love. But now I think, why do others have to come out? If the only true love is lost, and she is so important in his life, that kind of loneliness cannot be made up for by others.
If there is a spirit in the world, then even if she dies, she will always be with him, and they will never be separated; if there is no spirit in the world, then when he leaves, will they reunite or stop abruptly. I hope they can stay together in the world, it is a rare thing to meet a lover, and I don't want to have any regrets.
But most things in the world are regrettable.
