Time to make love change?

I have wanted to see this movie for a long time. First, both the male and female protagonists can act. The second is that it explores the topic of love changing over time, and I'm curious. Thirdly, after listening to the interviews with the director and the hero and heroine, I felt that they were filming very seriously. First shoot before; then spend a month living under one roof to cultivate hatred for both parties; then shoot now. In this way, all feelings can find real memories to rely on. And the director gave them a lot of freedom and acted in different plot developments. A bit like Wong Kar Wai's shooting method.

Very disappointed after reading it (maybe I hoped too much). Because while the helpless, hard-to-communicate conversations are all real, the film doesn't make it clear how they got here. That is to say, in real life, the actors "lived under one roof for a month to cultivate hatred for both parties", how exactly they cultivated it, the movie does not describe it, and it is difficult for me to understand. In my opinion, it's just that the heroine doesn't love the hero enough, and it's quite "made". Otherwise, after so many years, you should communicate well and manage your marriage well, and love will not reach this stage.

Hehe, maybe I'm too idealistic. Anyway, I think it's not time to make love change; it's whether your heart is willing to spend time to constantly care for your love, let it grow rather than wither. This is the most romantic thing. And the movie only describes the falling apart of love over time, which I don't think makes much sense.

Blue Valentine quotes

  • Dean: You ever get that feeling?

Marshall: Yeah, like, you've seen her before and you just know her.

    Dean: Yeah.

Marshall: It's a feeling. But, actually, you really don't know her.

    Dean: I probably... I don't right?

    Marshall: That's right.

Dean: It felt like I did, though.

  • Dean: She just seems different. You know? I don't know.

    Marshall: Wait. How different?

Dean: I don't know I just got a feeling about her. You know when a song comes on and you just gotta dance?
