Two movies I watched recently: A Clockwork Orange and Path of Glory. The former watched a little bit of the beginning in the early years, and thought it was too weird. At that time, I was young and could not accept it, so I stopped there. Recently, I found it on a whim and finished watching it. It is said that a clockwork orange means something weird in London slang. Very experimental. The latter only recently learned that World War I films satirize the hypocrisy, incompetence and greed of those in power. The former was taken in 1971 and the latter in 1957. Although both of them satirize those in power, the styles are very different, and it is hard to believe that they are all from the hands of Kubrick.
