This is the first time I have watched a Chaplin movie completely. His intuition and control of the body is really a genius, and he is also a master of comedy, but his comedy is not just physical humor, but a kind of possessive A true comedy with a tragic core.
There are two impressive clips.
One is that when the protagonist met the flower girl for the first time, the flower girl mistakenly thought that the passerby who got in the car and walked away was him, but he did not explain aloud, but quietly looked at her and then slipped away. , was the first time I saw this funny and humble little person who wanted to make a mistake and made the flower girl think she was a rich man.
The second is that boxing match, combined with the laughter of the venue, props and character design, even today it still makes people laugh to the stomach.
Also the ending is pretty good, although I thought Chaplin would deny it.
