The location is in New York. The more times I watch it, the more I find it boring and moving. It's not the kind of emptiness that the string is always stretched and is about to break suddenly; Many shots are blurry and the angles are not perfect. And the image becomes more clear

The time is 1961. Last century last life. At that time, my idol was not too young - acting made up for it a lot, but after all, youth never looked back. On such a difficult night, watch such a song of "Moon River" sprinkled by the afternoon sun. I suddenly felt like a dream, and at some point I really thought I was the poor scholar.

Some things are the same in ancient and modern times, Chinese and foreign, so "breakfast" is very different.

It's been a long time since I watched a love movie with such a pure taste. The story is not so compact, but it is very beautiful. The key is that the male protagonist really can't pick out a single fault from his appearance to his personality. His suits are replaced by suits that are no more colorful than Hepburn. Bad line. Many of the exquisite lines and jokes are probably thanks to the original work, and the actors' acting skills are a little exaggerated, and they are not comparable to the yellow cat.

Questionable acting, stiff sense of rhythm. The moon river is always circulating, and the kitten is the most classic.

Breakfast at Tiffany's quotes

  • Paul Varjak: [reaches into his pocket at the Tiffany's counter] We could have something engraved, couldn't we?

Tiffany's salesman: Yes, I suppose so, yes indeed... the only problem is you would more or less have to buy something first if only in order to have some object upon which to place the engraving... You see the difficulty...

    Paul Varjak: Well, uh

[holds up ring from Cracker Jack box]

Paul Varjak: , we could have this engraved, couldn't we? I think it would be very smart.

Tiffany's salesman: [taking ring and examining it] This, I take it, was not purchased at Tiffany's?

Paul Varjak: No, actually it was purchased concurrent with, uh, well, actually, came inside of... well, a box of Cracker Jack.

    Tiffany's salesman: I see...

    [continuing to look at ring]

Tiffany's salesman: Do they still really have prizes in Cracker Jack boxes?

    Paul Varjak: Oh yes.

Tiffany's salesman: That's nice to know... It gives one a feeling of solidarity, almost of continuity with the past, that sort of thing.

  • Paul Varjak: [about Holly and Jose] So you're getting married, then?

Holly Golightly: Well, he hasn't really asked me, not in so many words.

    Paul Varjak: Four, you mean?

    Holly Golightly: Huh?

Paul Varjak: Well, that's how many it takes: will you marry me?
