Audience tastes are getting better

More and more good movies lead to a higher and higher viewing experience for the audience, which leads to bad reviews for Independence Day 2.

If this movie were put 20 years ago, it would have been an impressive disaster movie. The logic is clear and reasonable, the plot is simple and clear, the rhythm is intense, and the picture is full of blood. The characteristics of this film are in line with the characteristics of any good disaster film, and it also contains most of the elements that a disaster film should have.

Marvel movies, X-Men, and a series of hero movies, as well as many movies that rely on special effects and CG to eat, make Independence Day 2 less "excellent", but it needs to be understood that disaster movies are not dramas. It is enough to have enough missions, plots, stories to support the disaster.

As a disaster film, Independence Day 2 is not as good as the day after tomorrow, there are too many main characters, the characters are not full of emotions, and even the plot bugs. But Independence Day is not worthless, as a sequel to Independence Day, enough.

(Mengniu's advertisement placement is too hard, and it stunned me when I watched it. Relatively speaking, the placement of QQ is quite harmonious.)

(I don't want to discuss angelababy's acting skills...)

I watched the video in advance, and I felt that it was not as good as 1. After 20 years, the alien’s technology has only improved the operation interface, but the American technology is almost the same as the aliens. How about giving them support for some Silicon Valley engineers (• ̅_•̅)

The big vulgar movies of chatting on QQ, drinking Mengniu, and hitting aliens show the reaction of high-level officials, soldiers, and people from all walks of life to aliens attacking the earth. The group drama corresponds to the "unity" emphasized by the former president. The narrative, special effects, and speech are in the same pace as 20 years ago. Looking at the old-fashioned autumn from the current perspective, this is indeed the American theme that Emmerich loves. After seeing the green screen rough cut, I finally decided to cut off the AB sentence "Uncle Jiang, you won't die in vain".

Independence Day: Resurgence quotes

  • Jake Morrison: He's meeting the President and I'm stuck on the moon.

  • President Lanford: [rehearsing her speech] The countless lives that we lost in the war of '96 did not perish in vain. They inspired us to rise from the ashes as one people of one world. For 20 years the world has seen no armed conflict. Nations have put their petty differences aside. United, we rebuild our families, our cities, and our lives. The fusion of human and alien technology not only enable us to defy gravity and travel with unimaginable speed, it also made our planet finally safe again.
