"Miracle Boy" is a movie I watched at home this winter vacation. To be honest, the name of the movie didn't attract me very much. Maybe there are too many movies about "miracles", or maybe there are too few "miracles" in reality. However, the original untranslated English film is called "wonder", and "wonder" is a very magical word in my opinion, just like it is, it is amazement, miracle, admiration, maybe in this film "Wonder" also contains multiple meanings.
The way this film unfolds is very unique. Through different perspectives of different people, one by one misunderstandings are created but solved at random, the protagonist Auggie's misunderstanding of his friend Jack Will, and the misunderstanding of sister Via's friend Miranda. , even between my sister and my mother, there has always been a knot that has not been solved. Jack faces the ridicule of most people at Auggie, and the relationship between himself and Auggie. The pressure of friendship, will follow the crowd to tell Julian and the others that he hates Auggie, leading to misunderstanding. In order to be able to integrate into the small group, her sister Via lied that she was an only child and denied the existence of her ugly brother. In order to convince others that she was living a good life, Miranda made up a series of lies to prove it, which led to her own death. Cracks appear in friendship. None of them are malicious, they just choose to hide themselves in the way of "most people" in the face of the pressure brought by this world and society, so that they don't look so special. And Auggie is a special case. He couldn't hide himself because of his appearance. He chose to take off the astronaut helmet. The reason why he is a miracle is because he resisted the pressure of the outside world and became himself.
