I just watched the movie, and I couldn't calm down for a long time.
The first half is a bit fragmented, and the film becomes clearer from the middle. The appearance of key witnesses confirmed the suspicions of the investigation team. Although he refused to testify in court, he pointed out the direction for the investigation team: the hero has nowhere to go, and he must stand up for justice. Maybe Jim had some hesitant words before, but from that moment he no longer hesitated. Since then, the entire team has experienced fierce internal conflicts, and the male protagonist's family seems to be shaken under the pressure. Even the male protagonist himself was biased in the interview with the host's cynicism, and he was almost framed and molested in the airport toilet. Others (there are many policemen outside waiting to catch the turtle in the urn). In the face of all these pressures, the male protagonist did not back down. He moved forward firmly and held high the banner of justice. There was only one belief in his heart: to restore the truth and let the real murderers subdue the law.
The final part of the trial is the essence of the film. The male protagonist is sonorous, and he restores the facts to the public like a cocoon, and understands it with reason and emotion. The audience was silent, everyone listened quietly, waiting for the arrival of bombs one by one.
The end result was disappointing, and the plot was reminiscent of To Kill a Mockingbird. The bones of the deceased are not cold, and the mastermind is at large. It's just because people don't want to believe the most unreal truth. Just because people don't want their beliefs to collapse. People choose to continue to live in this world of lies, and people don't want to see their comfortable life destroyed, even if the cost is "only" the loss of justice.
When I saw the middle of the film, I thought I saw a movie like "Focus", where the truth was finally revealed and justice was presided over. However, I finally found out that this was another robin-like movie.
Maybe in 2038 (2029 is mentioned at the end of the film), we can see things as they are. let us wait and see
