"A woman is weak and a mother is strong." The film "Roma" exemplifies this sentence very well. The gentle and firm strength of women is the greatest inspiration for the whole film. At the same time, this film has many aspects. They are all intriguing, seemingly unrelated events, but they pave the way for the next big thing, full of ideology.
The element "airplane" in the film appeared for the first time in the reflection of the water at the beginning of the film. It flew over when the coach was showing off his skills when Kleo went to find Fermin, and at the end, it appeared when Kleo walked to the rooftop. In fact, when it appeared for the second time, I felt that it would be very meaningful. When it appeared at the end, I felt that this was a clever metaphor in the film, perhaps a desire for freedom and life.
Kleo went to visit the newborn. There was an earthquake, and the wall on the ceiling smashed into the crib. This seemingly unrelated incident laid the groundwork for Kleo to give birth to a stillborn child. The same metaphor also appeared in A seemingly sudden forest fire in the film is actually a disaster that hints at an impending riot.
