After watching | Six-star praise

God knows how long I haven't had the experience of chasing dramas! I’ve watched a lot of Korean dramas, and after I got used to it, even the kind of Korean dramas with few emotional lines and compact plots couldn’t stop me from using my phone while chasing dramas. But when I was watching this drama, I could really concentrate on it from the beginning to the end without brushing my phone or eating. Netflix understood the needs and pain points of users for chasing dramas. One live broadcast, one live broadcast, even after the end of the first season, it will automatically link to the second season. As a result, the family asked during dinner at night, but I had absolutely no idea which episode I saw. Just so focused.

And I picked this show blindly on Netflix, just clicked it casually, and it grabbed all my attention from the first second. In this era of information explosion, this kind of experience is really rare.

When it comes to why this show is so good, what I'm trying to say is that it's different from anything I've seen before. This drama has precisely grasped the balance between reality and fantasy. The plot seems to be imaginative, but it has a certain connection with reality, so that the whole drama will not float in the air without a foundation. I think it's very rare - a plot based entirely on fact may lack that kind of mystery that appeals to the audience, and a plot that is completely fictional seems to be slack without a deeper meaning, like floating in mid-air. The kite, however, lacks the line connecting with reality and the audience, and it always looks shaky.

Eight synaesthetes live in completely different cultural and economic contexts, each with their own intractable problems. Their respective storylines are responsible for the "reality" part. Although the part of me, Pei Doona, is the most intimate to me who is used to watching Korean dramas, but in fact her line is still a little weak, the plot is a little old-fashioned, and there is not much room for performance. What I like more is the line of Nomi, watching her being abandoned by her family as LGBT and the pain of being persecuted by the government, intertwined with the warmth of her girlfriend's unconditional love and support. The two extreme emotional experiences have brought great tension, making people see the extreme ugliness, and at the same time they are extremely moving.

Lito's line is probably responsible for laughing. Look at this setting - in fact, it is the happy life of a rotten girl and two gay honeys. This is originally a comedy setting. The three of them are not worried about money, and they all have good looks and good stature. This is about to become a brainless idol drama. But this line is also the most completed story line in the first season, with clear contradictions, and the process of intensifying and resolving the contradictions. The scene where Lito rescues Daniela with the help of Wolfgang at the end is too heartwarming. Including the Van Damn line, it actually looks quite ideal. A young driver in a slum successfully resisted his fate of being bullied by obscurity with the "special function" of synesthesia. Not only did he take over the local gangster and rescue the boss, but he also opened up the road to the upper class.

It's like eight different life stories, but connected by the "synesthesia" thread and the secret behind it - and this thread brings mystery and suspense to the show. Why these 8 people are able to synaesthesia, who is the enemy behind them, these seem confusing. And that's what keeps me watching. But I have to say that the final revealing of the truth of this show is not so exciting, it is very straightforward through the role of Naveen. The cooperation of the eight people in the rescue of Riley at the end was really hot, but how Will and Riley escaped from Whisper in the end, this part seems very sloppy.

This arrangement is probably to create suspense for the second season, and I can't wait to see what happens next. This drama is really the best drama I have watched in a few years. The content is rich and not messy. The elements of reality and fantasy are just right for my appetite. By the way, the way of shooting is also very different. I remember the song Riley was listening to at the end of episode 4, What's Up by 4 Non Blondes, that song later became the background sound in the minds of 8 people, no matter if they were leisurely watching the distant scenery , or escaped with the help of a friend. The song was their sense of the connection to each other, who didn't know synesthesia at the time. Suddenly, there are seven more partners who share the same fate with each other. The natural bond between them, the alliance destined from genes, is actually really enviable.

Somewhere in the world, there's someone you've never met who can empathize with everything you've been through and understand everything you're thinking. When your consciousness is connected with this person, you will find that the original human disease of "loneliness" can be cured. PS I've been blindly worshiping filthy driver brothers for half my life, oh no, sister and brother; oh no, sister.

The taste of science fiction is actually not too strong, but it is very similar to the old dramas like "Prisoner" and "Twin Peaks"! However, the taste of literature and art is more, the sense of horror is slightly weaker, and the religious meaning is very strong! The sense of cultural integration is very well displayed, with various large-scale brushes of three views but very positive energy in the bones. The plot design is excellent, and the multiple clues are closely matched on the basis of similarity editing. I really like the picture and music! It is a rare drama in recent years!
