This sci-fi movie "Stalker" with the author's temperament explores issues such as human destiny, science, religion, art, and human nature. The director is a stalker in art. Our world is horribly boring, so there can be no telepathy, ghosts, flying saucers, anything like that. The world is governed by rock-solid laws that are tedious, alas, those laws are never broken, they don't know how. Speaking of bought inspiration, imagine walking into that room, turning into a genius and returning to our god-forsaken city. A man writes because he is miserable, because he is full of doubts. He needs to prove to himself and the world over and over again that he has value. What if I knew without a doubt that I was a genius? Then why write? The purpose of human existence is to create works of art, which is very different from other human activities. This is selfless. Great illusion, image of absolute truth. Some jerk criticized me for no reason and I got hurt. Some other high-profile people touted me, and I got hurt again. I poured all my heart into the book, and they devoured it. I excreted the filth of the soul on it, and they still ate with relish, they were all full of knowledge, and they were all indifferent. I wanted to change them, but they changed me, shaped me in their image. They don't want to know anything but know how to be a glutton.

In fact, the discontinuation of writers and scientists in front of the room is well understood. Not all depression, loss, desire and despair in life need or can be comforted by faith, especially unknown faith. I always think that the faith that fades away mysticism is more worth pursuing. Compared with the more prestigious homesickness and mirrors, this is Tarkovsky's more skeletal work, and may therefore have more room for interpretation.

[China Film Archive Beijing Film Festival Screening] Film version. For some reason, compared to DVD resources, the overall picture of the film is extremely reddish. The consistent long-lens photography style is great. The plot and connotation are not obscure in Laota's works. It could be the inspiration for the Tunguska explosion, a metaphor for Soviet authorities to imprison their minds, and a Chernobyl prophecy. At the end, the train rumbles with "Ode to Joy", and the mysterious power of the little girl shudders
