The subject matter of the story is quite innovative: when vampires become the masters of the earth, and human beings become vessels of blood, the world... is still the same. There are bureaucrats, businessmen, scientists, the army, and the suppressed "poor" who fight for the right to life. The only difference is that the ruling class and the food chain have changed.
However, the progression of the story is old-fashioned, with the sympathizers among the vampires and the resisters among the humans uniting to punish the cruel mercenaries. It's just that this ending is too unwise, and I can't see the hope of mankind. If I were a scientist, it might be more feasible to put in the effort to study human clones. Of course, this also involves discussions on the ethics and morals of human cloning.
