Three exceptions

Natalie Portman is actually a post-80s generation. I have known her for too long. This killer is not too cold. It turned out to be 1994, 17 years ago. Her thirteen-year-old debut performance can be said to be earth-shattering, but unfortunately, there seems to be no independent role after that. Until this Brothers, seeing her grow up, being the mother of two daughters, mixing the charm of a girl and a woman, watching her is enough.
The two brothers had exceptional performances, and Tobey Maguire got rid of Spider-Man's good boy taste and got a military hairstyle, a masculine look. Jake Gyllenhaal also grows a beard and is a punk, no longer the innocent little white face of Brokeback Mountain. The two actors were successively trained by Ang Lee, and Ang Lee's vision was really powerful. The story of the movie itself is not that compelling, the character building and the explosiveness of the actors are the focus of this work.

Three and a half... This story is hard to tell...

The elder brother was tortured by the Taliban in Afghanistan, and the younger brother captured the elder sister-in-law and her daughter at home. That's the benefit of having brothers. The director pervertedly focused on the hypocritical dramas and family ethics of the younger brother and sister-in-law, not the pain caused by the war to the soldiers. Tobey Maguire has done an exceptionally good job at taking off his red spider skin and will do better.

Brothers quotes

  • Sam Cahill: I dunno who said "only the dead have seen the end of war". I have seen the end of war. The question is, can I live again?

  • Sam Cahill: I'm drowning, Tommy.
