Before Lolita saw the movie, in my fantasy, Lolita was the purest and kindest girl in the world, with smart eyes and sensitive soul. She was synonymous with all the innocence and kindness in the world.
After watching the movie, I realized that Lolita is the demon of desire, an abyss that cannot be recovered. She attracts the eyes of men, and with her ever-expanding desire and selfish soul, she reaches the other side of evil. Hermbert is sinful and pathetic, but he definitely deserves no sympathy.
Lolita lacked education in her teenage years. Under her mother's loose education, she appeared wild and lacking education. The middle-aged Hermbert really loved the anger and throbbing of this 14-year-old girl. The protagonist's strong desire for control, uncontrollable taboos, and endless desires of girls, for money and for humanity, have led to the tragedy of this story.
Sadly, after the time has passed, the girl has become a young woman, able to face her past and start a new life, but the male protagonist is obsessed with her own Lolita and has been smoothed out by the world. His 14-year-old girl Gone, the most beautiful dream in his heart was shattered. His girl who would enjoy the mist and the sun on the lawn, sway next to him on the swing, chew gum and ran through the garden barefoot, died, was tortured by life. The flat young woman with thick-rimmed glasses, rough and vulgar, his love is dead, and he needs to be buried.
The sadness of this taboo disdainful love.

Maybe it's because I saw the sexier version of the remake later, so watching this Kubrick's original version is not very shocking. It may have something to do with the selection of actors. This old man looks like a bad old man, not as handsome as the one behind, so he can't sympathize with this character. Otherwise, in this original version, he just wanted to portray the negative image of the bad old man, and the remake was more willing to make him positive.

when it lost the firstperson narrator, it changed everything. Kubrick made everything so annoying and pathetic. is it because he didnt like the concept of the story himself of what. but he's really good at implication to tell the whole story and the sex behind it .
