Great subject, great actors

Originally, a good movie had all the elements, good subject matter, good director, and good actors, but it turned out to be out of tune.

Key moments in history, legendary figures in history, even if they are not great, there is always a lot of content to be excavated. Leaving the Pope, dethroning the queen, sisters becoming rivals, incest, conspiracy, etc., all these together have become a pot of common taste.

Since it is mainly a girl from the Boleyn family, the king can only show ruthlessness or add some courage to contend with the Pope, but it is not convincing enough in the movie.

There were too many royal women beheaded in the Tudor era, and there is still a lot to write about. It's a pity that the movie was made like this.

    Dazzling emptiness, too superficial

Watch the two beauties, each with their own characteristics. Natalie Portman played a wicked woman very well, Scarlett Johansson was so pitiful. But the overall plot development of the film is too disgusting for the emperor, too obscene. The picture is good, but the story of the film is only on the surface

The Other Boleyn Girl quotes

  • Sir Thomas Boleyn: Would a smile be too much to ask?

Lady Elizabeth: What's there to smile about? I'm a mother of a child ordered to marry a girl he hates, another banished aboard in disgrace, and a third whoring in public with an adulteer. You say you are concerned for her happiness, will Mary be happy when he leaves her? Because you know that will happen in the end.

Sir Thomas Boleyn: Only God knows how anything will end.

Lady Elizabeth: God? He turned his back on all this a long time ago.

  • Sir Thomas Boleyn: These rooms, our new position? Does none of my work please you?

Lady Elizabeth: These gifts, this favor will go as swiftly as it came. These rooms once belonged to the Duke of Buckingham, the King's closest friend. His head now rots on a spike.

Sir Thomas Boleyn: He committed treason.

Lady Elizabeth: Treason? What is treason? Anything the king or his lawyers decide it to be. On a whim.
