Diving bell - a medieval torture in which people were locked into a giant bell and then drowned in the bottom of the water.
Modern diving bells are also used for scientific observation and rescue.

Bought a few discs...with this movie in it...
put it last...

typical french movie..shaky
footage..constant zoom focus....

movie first The world is depicted from the first-person perspective of the protagonist (Jean-Dominique-Bobby, editor-in-chief of French fashion magazine ELLE)...blurred..trancey left eye...

note...only the left eye. ..
Bobby wants to speak.. but he is paralyzed. His mouth is crooked.. No one can hear his inner cries.
The butterfly cries in him...

The film uses the voice of the star Mathieu Amalric as Bobby The inner voice..
expresses Bobby's rich inner world just right...

butterflies emerging from the cocoon.. rolling snow mountains.. boundless sea..
afterglow in the evening... the world has so many beautiful things .so many colors..but

Bobby can't do it like he used
to..drives a roadster through French cities.and eats oysters in the suburbs..can't
play with his kids.even pets them head..
can't have sex with the woman he loves under the waves of Maldini ... can't
even get rid of a fly on his nose...

"I have two things left, my imagination, my memory."

His body bound him like a diving bell.. but his soul had flown out of his body like a butterfly.. flew out of the diving bell...

with remorse for his lover..with With a reluctance to part with the good things in life..
Fly to the sea..fly to eternity...

each of us will face the day of death..can we
face it as strong as Bobby..maybe

we all need a butterfly like him..
