Big eyes and cheeky

"Big Eyes" is adapted from real events and tells the story of an artist and a liar from being in love with each other to fighting each other.

In this film, Tim Burton's personal style is not as obvious and strong as in previous works, but this does not affect the splendor and smoothness of this film.

Amy Adams, who plays Margaret, and Christopher Waltz, who plays Walter, are the biggest highlights of this film. Their acting skills are intoxicating, and their roles make people unable to leave.

The lie will eventually be exposed. After watching the film, we have to admire Mr. Walter's face thickness while admiring Margaret's superb endurance.

It’s wonderful, but the film doesn’t have much that should be Tim Burton’s wonderful.

It's okay, not bad, but it's far from pretty. Tim Burton doesn't have that kind of aura anymore, except for a few scenes and the big-eyed painting itself, it's a mediocre feature film.

Big Eyes quotes

  • Jehovah's Witness #1: We have something to share with you about the wonderful things that God's kingdom will do for mankind.

Margaret Keane: Well, from where I'm standing, I don't see much good anywhere. Just a lot of pride and thievery and people treating each other poorly.

Jehovah's Witness #1: Do you know what it says in Timothy 3:1-5? "In the last days, critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves."

Margaret Keane: Sounds like my ex-husband.

  • [last lines]

Dick Nolan: [narrating] Two things mattered to Margaret: Her daughter and her paintings. And after all the crazy turns the story took, she came out at the end with both of them.
