The Alcohol Project is a small-language film directed by Thomas Winterberg starring Max Mikkelsen and Thomas Bo Larsen. It mainly tells about Martin and his three friends, all of whom are high school teachers, and all have a certain degree of disappointment in life and career. In order to break the routine and not follow the rules, the four started their own alcohol program. The continuous drunkenness brought a new experience to their lives, but with it came new problems...
Under the intertwining themes of midlife crisis and alcoholism, the male protagonist said, "The world has never been what you expected." Under the paralyzing effect of alcohol, the four middle-aged men briefly lived happily, and their lives seemed to improve slightly. Unexpectedly, alcohol became the fuse, prompting people who were already dissatisfied with life to break out and get out of hand.
Denmark's wine culture is also evident.
