There are friends like Brenda who are also teachers, mothers, and friends, what else is there to say? The weak in the movie are either useless cannon fodder (common in all kinds of thrillers), or there will be noble people to help, but in reality, it seems that many of them are just ordinary poor bugs who are being bullied.
