Unexpectedly, Adam Sandler's acting skills are not ordinary. Charlie is a man who lost his wife and daughter, lost his focus in life, and is autistic and depressed. Electric scooters, earphones, video games, vinyl records, constantly refurbishing the kitchen, completely immersed in the space of self. And Allen has a stable high income and a happy family, but apart from family, work is basically two points and one line, and there is no other self-hobby. The two come together to have interesting stories and influence each other. Allen experienced drama, electric scooters, video games that he had never experienced before. And Charlie also met the widow who has been harassing Ellen by accident. All of this ending in a positive direction is what we expected. A very healing and heartwarming movie.

The hardest person to face is always yourself! That narration is so annoying, it ruins the whole mood of the movie! It's like watching discovery!

I think I can understand the feeling. Maybe I am sensitive enough to be a psychiatrist. But the temper is bad, and it is estimated that no one can stand it. I have to find a psychiatrist myself...

Reign Over Me quotes

  • Alan Johnson: Better bring out the big guns on this one. She's crazy with a side of crazy!

  • Charlie Fineman: I don't need to talk about her or look at pictures. 'Cause the truth is, a lot of times, I see her, on the street. I walk down the street, I see her in someone else's face. Clearer than any of the pictures you carry with you. I get that you're in pain, but you've got each other. You got each other! And I'm the one who's gotta see her and the girls all the time. Everywhere I go! I even see the dog. That's how fucked up I still am! I look at a German shepherd, I see our goddamn poodle.
