Purely for these old actors~ Under the light of them, the millionaire male protagonist of the slum is so young and immature that he has no acting skills at all. Judi Dench is as elegant and calm as always. Bill Nighy wants to laugh when he sees it. Maybe it's too impressive in Love Actually. Maggie Smith, the big boss behind the scenes, has a playful expression from time to time. The romance is very thin, and some are not realistic, such as the street kiss, the heroine naked climbs into the man's bed in the middle of the night, which is a big no-no in India.....
Bill Nighy and Judi Dench's love scene also made me I feel a little weird, where is the point? Is it because the two seem to like liberal arts, and then they have a common language together? Also, as Evelyn narrates, are they not long in India, an exotic passion? Hard to say.
Love Maggie Smith's performance

A plot with a strong sense of design, a warm-hearted film about the healing of the elderly, seven British people with their own hearts came to India's best Marigold Foreign-related Hotel to live again. Let a few powerful old British actors perform in two hours. The film has been done very well. Although many of the plots are still a bit too hasty, they are all passed by Judy Dench's narration, but they can be watched. Several old actors are already content with the Biao drama together. ★★★☆

It's been a long time since I saw such a moving movie! beyond words! The crying points are: Graham hugged love of his life together and the latter finally sent him away in the water; the memory of Grandma Maggie Smith being asked by the Indian maid "Are you no children?" The beautiful girl grandpa actually acted as a good-natured man orz. Of course, the lines full of british wit will make you laugh from the first second to the end! I really love this one!

  • Mrs. Kapoor: Do I need a reason to visit my favorite son?

Sonny: No - he's at his mansion in Dehli.

Mrs. Kapoor: Alright, my second favorite!

Sonny: He went to Canada to make his fortune.

  • Sonny: I have a dream, MummyJi, a most brilliant one. To outsource old age! And it is not just for the British, there are many other countries where they don't like old people too!
