regular woman vs regular man

There are two things in this film that left a deep impression on me, one is told by a woman, and the other is played by a man. The common point is that they are very routine and are easily overlooked.
Just after escaping the foreign riots, before the relationship between the host and the hostess was restored due to extramarital affairs, they had a dialogue; during the dialogue, the hostess said, man, you know that it is very complicated for you to face bacteria, don't you think? Aren't people themselves more complex? I'm sorry I'm not your perfect woman, I'm just a regular woman who likes all the things regular women like and doesn't like the things regular women don't. After listening, the man suddenly woke up, smiled knowingly, and expressed his own mistakes. In fact, this mistake is made by regular men. I have thought about it myself, and I think it will make it. Even the most rational person will become irrational when facing emotional betrayal. It’s just that sometimes men think it’s rational to deal with it, in fact Just an irrational variant. Like what the male protagonist does to the woman before he wakes up. In the end, I realized that the rational treatment should be to accept the other party's shortcomings.
This kind of reconciliation between the host and hostess requires preconditions. Marriage changes are very common these days, and to see the truth in adversity like the film, requires an unconventional premise - adversity. Unfortunately, we are all routine, and there are almost no such conditions.
The second is a moment that moved me so much. It was the moment when the woman sat on the hospital bed and told the man suspiciously that she was pregnant with a child, and the man turned from worry to joy. At that moment, I felt love, and I had an inexplicable eagerness to become a mature regular man who gave me warmth.

PS This film is realistic, it is better, let me see the very detailed side of the contradiction between men and women.

The Painted Veil quotes

  • [Walter and Kitty are out at the Chinese Opera with Charlie and Dorothy Townsend]

Charlie Townsend: Are you enjoying it?

Kitty Fane: I've never seen anything like it.

Charlie Townsend: Every gesture has a meaning. See how she covers her face with the cloth? She is mourning her misfortune.

Kitty Fane: What happened to her?

Charlie Townsend: She was sold into slavery. Condemned to a life of drudgery and despair in a strange land far from home. See the chains? They represent the heavy bondage of her poor, trapped soul from which there is no escape, and so she weeps. She weeps for the lively, vivacious girl she once was, the lonely woman she has become... and most of all... she weeps for the love she'll never feel, for the love she'll never give.

Kitty Fane: Is that really what she's saying?

Charlie Townsend: Actually I haven't a clue what she's on about. I don't speak Chinese.

    [Charlie and Kitty laugh]

  • [Waddington walks in to the Fanes' new house]

Waddington: You must be the doctor's wife. I've just met your husband and invited myself to dinner. I've kept the Watsons' cook for you - she's not bad. She'll have to do for your amah as well. We're a little short-handed here.

[Remembering he hasn't introduced himself yet]

Waddington: Sorry, my name is Waddington.
