3 and a half stars. After watching once and begin again, I was really looking forward to this work, but I was disappointed after watching it. It is still the same routine. After a pair of men and women meet by chance, the male protagonist forms his own band, impresses the female protagonist through music, pushes the story to a climax with a theme song, and then ends. It can be said to be a replica of once, the only difference is the ending, but I prefer the mood of once. In short, the story is boring, the plot jumps, and the characters are strange. No matter how good the music is, it can't impress the audience. I feel that director Jiang Lang has done his best.

The correct way to open the youth film, in the end, I still made up a disaster film.

John Carney's musical taste has to be praised, but that's only the highlight; young people can dream, but don't indulge in dreams, after all, the adult life of going out to fight monsters is inevitable.

Sing Street quotes

  • Darren: What does "happy-sad" even mean? How can we be both things? It makes no sense.

Conor: It means that I'm stuck in this shithole full of morons and rapists and bullies, and I'm gonna deal with it, okay? It's just how life is. I'm gonna try and accept it and get on with it, and make some art.

Eamon: So how does that affect our music?

    Conor: Positively.

  • Eamon: I've a good joke for you guys. Vagina. Do you get it?

    Garry: No.

    Eamon: Exactly.
