to the future

A very good movie, belongs to the feelings of young people.

I like "FUTURE" spoken by young souls, not nostalgic, but towards the future.

The youngest fearless soul.

I have always been an old child. At the age of fifteen or sixteen, I started to recall the past and missed the vigorous growth.

Only in a moment of light and shadow, I can see those who used to be just as clumsy and young, in the most dazzling sunshine, on the widest field, and in the harshest wind and rain, indomitable.

It's not like me, nesting in the crowded real life, counting teeth, waiting, waiting for the future that will never come.

Music is the antidote to frustrated middle-aged people, the dream of confused young people, and the oxygen of ignorant teenagers. Write songs for the girl I like and form a band, use youth and frivolity to fight the pressure of school, family changes and growth confusion, and travel across the ocean in a small boat. Youth is really good. When they grow up, they may become the young and middle-aged people in "begin again" and "once", but whatever, the bravery of the moment is enough to be missed for a lifetime.

Have all the elements that a youth movie should have, a broken family, a bad teacher, a campus bully, a secluded brother who is like a prophet, a fallen dream lover, and a band! The male protagonist looks like Paul McCartney, and the band friend looks like John Lenon, which is also interesting. The reality is cruel, but there is music and love. Although it is a fairy tale, at least the moment when people walk out of the theater is full of courage.

Sing Street quotes

  • Raphina: Your problem is that you're not happy being sad, but that's what love is, Cosmo: happy-sad.

  • Brendan: Did the Sex Pistols know how to play? You don't need to know how to play. Who are you, Steely Dan? You need to learn how NOT to play, Conor. That's the trick. That's rock and roll. And THAT... takes practice.
