Angel Has Fallen: It's almost time to retire

Every three years, Mike Banning, the presidential bodyguard played by Gerald Barthes, wants to retire, but every time he happens to catch up with the crisis, he has no time to retire, so he delays it for six years. With white temples and visibly getting older, how can he still look capable, tough, and well-trained in the third installment of the Fallen series? The answer is: replace everyone around him with old people! The president and the villain look older than him, and even his gray-haired father, whose hands are shaking, has to come out to set off. In this elderly version of the action movie, Mike Banning does look like he has a few more years left.

In fact, in the first part of the film, you can clearly feel that he is not in a good state, he is panting when he walks, and he has to rely on painkillers to get by, and he has entered a state where he should really retire. Especially after the Madden ( RichardMadden ) version of the bodyguard was released last year , people immediately hope that all national leading bodyguards can be as handsome as him. Compared with this uncle-level bodyguard, his natural brilliance is no longer there.

However, what everyone needs to realize is that Madden is playing a TV series with a very small format after all, and the presentation of action scenes is actually much smaller than this type of action movies, and the protection is still for female leaders. But when it comes to the international crisis brought by this terrorist organization in this film, and the ferocity of an R-rated action film has indeed been made, it would be too tender to imagine Madden in it. Gerald Butt confirmed that he still fits the title of senior presidential bodyguard, showing leadership and technical proficiency. At the same time, cool offensive weapons appeared in this film, but under the large-scale terrorist attack, there were also a lot of close combat and games of wisdom and strategy. In terms of the presentation of action scenes, it is not inferior to the previous two.

However, the president this time, the black president played by the newly-appointed Morgan Freeman, does look a bit old. His temperament and likability are much different from the president played by Aaron Eckhart in the past two episodes, and he lacks leadership style. So he can only lie in a hospital bed and pretend to be in a coma for most of the movies. This is also a pity of the film, which lacks the scenes where the president and bodyguards fought side by side in the past. In addition, the female FBI (played by Jada Pinkett Smith) added in the film is really a failure to portray, her acting skills and temperament are wrong, and it is quite a superfluous role.

After reading it, I went home and searched, only to find that the actor who played the wife of the actor Mike Banning was actually replaced! This also fully shows that this character has a very low sense of presence in the past two episodes, and the two movies are also of the "fun to watch, forget it when you go out" type, and even the actors changed almost didn't see it! The plot is blurred.

The same is true of the third film, which is gripping most of the time, but definitely lacks the bright moments, giving people a sense of old-fashioned fatigue. In particular, there is a problem with the rhythm of the film. It only enters the state after the first 20 minutes. Only the assassination of the president and the ending part really show the cool style that the series should have.

It is worth mentioning that there are funny easter eggs at the end of the film, not long after the subtitles were released.

Recommended to watch, but I think it should not continue to shoot, let Mike Banning retire.
