The Wrestler & Crazy Heart

I don't know what I'm looking for in this frustrated, depraved, evasive film - of course they all try to change.

The biggest difference between Wrestler and Crazy heart is that W is a dark, oppressive, and breathless mood, and CH at least allows us to see the light. But I prefer W, so I really don't know what exactly I'm expecting.

Wrestling is suicide, but for him it is the only one. Without wrestling, he is nothing; smoking and drinking are also suicide, but for him it is just an act of escaping and ignoring the future. Without tobacco and alcohol, he still has Play the guitar with him.

One is helpless, the other is lost.

It is very similar to the theme of "Wrestler", but the gap is relatively large and the style is very different, one is cold and the other is warm. This film overly simplifies the psychological transformation of the characters, which is a flaw in the script. Unexpectedly, the dramatic turn of the drama feels more bloody. During the viewing process, I prayed that such a plot would not happen, but unfortunately it happened. Jeff is worthy of the name, and the theme song is indeed quite good.

Good actors don't take bad movies. Just looking at Grandpa Bridge's acting is also worth five stars.

Crazy Heart quotes

  • Jean Craddock: [referring to Jack] You wanna call him back and tell him I'm not about to marry you?

Bad Blake: You might wanna wait till I ask before you turn me down.

  • Jean Craddock: [after Bad notices her engagement ring] He's a good guy.

Bad Blake: Hmm. Yeah, well... you deserve one.
