Affectionate Relay, Reivew on My Father and My Son

The story takes place in the extremely turbulent 1980s in Turkey. However, the brutal coup d'état and the chaotic society were all taken by the director. Even the protagonist suffered several years in prison, and it was only a few seconds of footage. Most of the time we see a happy Turkish countryside, but this happiness is shrouded in a lingering shadow, like an island in a rolling torrent.
On this isolated island, three generations staged a family relay. Huseyin knew the coming of social change and insisted not to let his son Sadik leave the village, but Sadik chose to run away for his dream, and finally he came back to this place. Lonely Island, is hoping to give his son Deniz a happy future.
The fate of people may seem small and powerless in the long river of history, but just like the last shot of Deniz playing with his grandfather's camera in the rain, no matter how the environment changes, family love will be passed on forever like a relay.
