This is not a film that is critical of politics, at least not one that focuses on critical politics. Although Sadik finally died of lung disease caused by the prison he suffered many years ago, this is only one of many personal encounters in history. For this film, Sadik died of tyranny (and nothing else) just to show a cause and effect: the tragic result of defying the wishes of his father, Hüseyin, years ago. Of course, Sadik's injustice as a freelance journalist makes the show deeply socially relevant. Although Sadik joked to his friends many years later: "I used to think I was fighting for this country, but she didn't seem to care." And his father said: "I didn't come back to apologize, because I'm not wrong!" Reflection The unfortunate fate of individuals under politics is not central to the film either.

What is the center? Let's take a look at the dialogue between Sadik and his friend Özkan in the film
Özkan: We dreamed of getting out of here, remember? You made it, I didn't, I want to ask you something, at least you are the one who tried. As someone who dare not try, do you think I'm missing a lot? I'm asking this out of curiosity, nothing else. After so much, if you were asked to choose again, would you choose to go or stay?
Sadik: I don't know, I'll take everything here and bring everything back there...

he wants to bring everything back? Your own ideals and aspirations? Wife's life? Want to take everything away?

I think, he wanted to take away his father's incomprehension - he didn't finish it. However, he did bring back all of himself - his son Deniz.

The theme of this movie is family affection, and I recommend this movie because Chinese people who also value family affection will definitely fall in love with it. There are too many happy trifles between families in the film. There are many such details in the film. The real family love is sometimes a trickling stream, and sometimes the sea is surging. And in the conflict between the father and son of Hüseyin and Sadik, this theme was deepened. When grandma Nuran was secretly sad for the separation between her child's husband, when Sadik decided to leave Deniz alone in bed because of the pain of death, When he was left alone to endure the fear, when Hüseyin stubbornly and soft-heartedly explained horseshoeing to his naive grandson, when he cried helplessly: "I wish I had said nothing, I wish I had closed my mouth, I killed him!" And while frantically tearing up his clothes, the director unreservedly presented the touching, fragile, subtle, and great affection in front of people, making people burst into tears.
